How we compare sites
Every comparison on this site comes from dated records of what each site offers, and from the Gambling Commission register. Nothing is played, deposited or scored.
What is compared
This build has 52 brand pages and 174 full comparisons. The records were taken between 8 August 2026 and 12 October 2026; each brand page gives the dates of the records it uses. Licence details come from the register copy of 5 October 2026.
Step 1: the same product
A site can only be an alternative if it offers the product the brand is used for, and that product is on its record:
| The brand is | An alternative must have |
|---|---|
| An online casino | Slots, a live casino, table games or casino games |
| A slots site | Slots |
| A bingo site | Bingo |
| A sportsbook | Sports betting |
| A poker room | Poker |
Sister sites get no shortcut: a brand on the same licence that lacks the product is not listed as an alternative, only under “Who runs”.
Step 2: what the brand is noted for
For each brand, its record is read for the things that mark it out for that product: no-wagering winnings, live game shows, Megaways or jackpot games, named games and studios for a casino; ball formats, ticket prices and free rooms for bingo; bet builders, cash out, boosts, streaming and racing for a sportsbook; formats, tournaments, fast-fold tables and live tours for poker. A trait counts as shared only when both records confirm it.
Some traits are common, so sharing them says little. Each trait is weighted by how rare it is among comparable sites. A site gets a full comparison when it is the same or a neighbouring kind of site, shares at least 2 traits and at least half of that weight, and its record describes enough of the product to write about. At most 4 sites get a full comparison on a page; up to 8 more are listed below them. Where fewer than 5 comparable records exist, as for poker, the weight test is not applied. There is no quota: a page shows however many sites qualify. A few sites just below the weight line are compared in full after both records were read, where they share two traits and their record supports a comparison; each has its reason on file.
Three states, kept apart
- ✓ On record a dated record shows the site offers it.
- ✕ Not offered a record states the site does not offer it.
- – not on record: the record is silent. This is never treated as “no”.
A difference is only written where one record confirms a feature and the other states its absence. A broad menu label such as “casino games” confirms nothing underneath it. Game counts a site gives about itself are never compared.
Ownership
Sister sites are brands with a live domain on the same licence account in the register copy. A different licence holder is called just that: one company can hold several licences, so it does not prove the sites are unconnected. Ownership has its own section on every page and never decides who is listed.
Pictures and offers
A capture of a site is shown only where it shows the product being compared, with the date it was taken. Welcome offers are not printed: this site is rebuilt by hand, so an offer could not be relied on to be current.
What this site does not do
No ratings, scores or “best” lists. No links to gambling sites and no sign-up buttons. No claim to have played at or tested any site. Records that cannot support a fair comparison yet are held back rather than published thin: Simba Games and Betway.
